How to bring your branding online with social media
You have the brand files from your designer or you have put together your DIY logo in Canva.
But now what?
How do you take all that aesthetic goodness and actually turn it into a cohesive online presence?
One that doesn’t have you second-guessing every post you make, or getting distracted by everyone else’s content. Which unfortunately can mean this just becomes a sporadic, half-hearted attempt to tick off “posted on socials”.
There is a better way.
You don’t need me to tell you about the power of showing up consistently on social media — you just need someone to break down how to actually do it.
Stay visually consistent on social media by:
Choosing a set of fonts to use across your stories that fit your brand personality
Actually use your brand colours for building trust and recognition
Have an easy to grab image in your folder with your brand colours so you can use the pen and eyedropper tool to get the exact colours each time
Use your story highlights to bring through your brand elements further either with colour, images or icons
Double check your profile images are the same across all your social media accounts for easy recognition
If you invested in visual branding with a designer, use the fonts and layouts provided for you in social media templates (promise they were created to help you!) or choose a quality template to add your own branding to and stick with it each business quarter
If I was jumping onto your socials to give it a quick visual makeover, this is where I’d start ^
Examples of brands that do this well IMO:
@rita.edited consistent use of brand colours, pattern and fonts
@cominguproses.co strong brand colours and fonts
@dirty.copy stories always use her brand colours and her graphic posts have a consistent layout and design in line with her brand
@georgiadrawsahouse a great example of where there isn’t a lot of graphics but the consistent use of the same pink text works SO well to tie in her whole look
These aren’t hard and fast “rules” by any means BUT they are a super simple and effective way to get started with having a more cohesive look.
